Privacy policy
outdrafted.lol is a stats site for professional League of Legends, run by a single operator you can reach at [email protected]. It has no accounts, sets no cookies, and runs no advertising or analytics network. This page says what the site records, why, who else processes it, how long it is kept, and what you can ask us to do about it.
1. What we collect, and why
The questions you ask. When you ask a question, the site records its text, the database query it was translated into, the answer, and how long each step took. We use this to serve the answer, to check that the answer was right, and to improve the translation. It also records where on the site the question was asked: the page's address, whether it was typed or clicked, and the page you first arrived on in that browser tab. To spot abuse, the network address a question came from is kept with it for 30 days and then erased; it is never shown on any page. An answered question can also become a public page on this site, in the question's own words, so the next person with the same question finds the same answer without asking again. Nothing about who asked is attached to a page. Please keep personal information out of your questions: the site is built for player, team and champion stats, and a question about a person who is not a pro player is refused, not answered.
Page views and clicks. Each page you open sends the site one small message with the page's path, the address of the page that linked you here, the country code our network provider read from your connection, and the page you first arrived on in that browser tab (with the campaign tag that link carried, if any, such as a search assistant's). Clicking a suggested question, an analysis link, the Discord bot's invite or a Share button sends the same kind of message, naming where the click led. We use these counts to see which pages are read and which lead somewhere. No IP address is stored, no identifier is set, and a browser that sends the Do Not Track signal sends nothing at all.
Messages you send us. The contact form stores what you type: your message, the topic you picked, and a name and email address if you choose to give them. We use them to read and answer you. A report on an answer stores the kind of problem you picked and the note you wrote, so the answer can be fixed.
Discord servers the bot is in. If you add our Discord bot, the site records the server's name and id, the approximate number of members and of people online that Discord reports, which channels have subscribed to automatic posts and which leagues they picked, and how many cards we have posted there. We use this to see where the bot is used and whether it works. This describes the SERVER, not the people in it: the bot holds none of the Discord permissions that would let it read messages, member lists or anyone's presence, and it records nothing about who ran a command.
Server logs. Like every website, the site is served through providers that keep ordinary connection logs (an IP address, a time, a request) for a short period for security and operations, under their own policies. We do not add anything to those logs.
2. Cookies and your device
The site sets no cookies. It keeps a few preferences in your browser's local storage: your theme, whether you were in Ask or Analyze, the zoom level, and the leagues you selected. It also keeps the page you first arrived on in the tab's session storage, which your browser discards when the tab closes; that path is sent with page views and questions as described above, and identifies nothing. The other values never leave your browser.
3. Who else processes data
We run the site on services that process data for us, each under its own privacy policy:
- Cloudflare serves the domain, its encryption and its cache, and screens abusive traffic. It sees your IP address to do so and passes the site a country code.
- Railway hosts the server and the small database that holds the records above.
- DeepSeek, a language model provider based in China, receives the text of each question so it can be turned into a database query. Only the question's words travel; nothing about you goes with them.
- FormSubmit relays contact form messages to our inbox.
- lolesports.com, Riot's schedule service, is read by your browser directly when Analyze fills in a live draft.
- Discord, if you use our bot in a server: the bot posts pictures of draft cards, and Discord's own terms and privacy policy apply there.
We do not sell data, and we do not share it with anyone else.
4. Where data goes
The services above run their servers in several countries, including the United States and, for the model provider, China. By asking a question you send its words to those servers. Nothing that identifies you travels with a question.
5. How long we keep it
Questions and their answers are kept, since the site's answer pages are built from them. Contact messages and answer reports are kept until they have been read and acted on. The receipt behind an answer expires after 45 days and a cached answer after 14. Page views are kept as counts by path, referrer and country. A Discord server's row is kept after the bot is removed, marked with the date it left, so the record of where the bot has been stays honest; ask us and we will delete it.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete anything we hold that came from you: an answer page made from your question, the question itself, or a message you sent. Write to [email protected] or use the contact form, say which page or roughly when you asked, and we will act on it as soon as we can. Nothing else is needed, because nothing else about you is recorded. If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
7. Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect anything from them. Since there are no accounts, there is nothing to sign up for; if a child has sent us a message, a parent or guardian can ask us to delete it.
8. Security
Every page is served over HTTPS. The stats database is read-only, the operator's dashboard sits behind a password, and no payment or account details exist to protect because none are collected.
9. Changes to this policy
When the site starts recording something new or talking to a new service, this page changes in the same release and the date at the top moves. A change that matters will also be noted on the blog.
10. Contact
Questions about privacy go to [email protected] or the contact form.
